Development and design of Community Resource Management Area (CREMA) in 42 communities in Akontombra District in the Western North Region: Sefwi Wiawso Landscape

The Resource Foundation supported Conservation Alliance Ghana, under the Enhancing Natural forest and Agro-Forest Landscape Project (ENFALP) to develop and establish Community Resource Management Areas (CREMA) and also trained 45 Community Resources Management Committee (CRMC) members.  The organization empowered 5 community clusters in additional livelihood ventures.   

 

“Ghana Dedicated Grant Mechanism for local Communities Project (G-DGM) at Juaboso, Bodi, Bia West and Sefwi Wiawso municipal”.

Donor/Client: SOLIDARIDAD Ghana

SOLIDARIDAD Ghana engaged the services of The Resource Foundation to raise 15,000 Economic tree seedlings for selected beneficiary farmers to enable them to practice climate smart cocoa farming and also to train farmers in nursery establishment as a means of providing alternative livelihoods and empower them to practice sustainable land management.

 

“Community Mobilization, Empowering and strengthening women participation in local politics and to monitor government projects in Sefwi Juaboso, Bia West district and Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assemblies of the Western North Region”.

Donor/Client: Gender Center for Empowering Development (GenCED)

The Resource Foundation in collaboration with GenCED under the “Strengthening participation of women in geographically deprived communities in local governance in Ghana Project”, to build the capacity of 150 women in the Juaboso District, Bia West District and Sefwi Wiawso Municipality to actively participate in the local governance process and to demand accountability from duty bearers. The project also established a women’s group advocacy platform made up of 50 women leaders in each of the selected project districts to monitor and track government project in their respective communities 

 

“Community-level Dissemination of Citizen’s Assessment Report on Capitation Grant project”.

Client/Donor: SEND- GHANA

The Resource Foundation collaborated with SEND-GHANA to sensitized citizens in 3 communities in the Bia West District namely; Kwamebikrom, Essam and Debiso to understand the findings of the outcome of the Citizens assessment report on the capitation grants and what they are expected to do at the community level.

 

“Promoting Post Electoral Accountability at Constituency Level Project”

CDD-GHANA engaged the services of The Resource Foundation to monitor and track the fulfilment of Campaign promises made by successful political Candidates on CDD/OSIWA Debate Platforms at the constituency level, held ahead of the 2016 General Elections in Ghana.
